thank you for visiting my page!

Cakes by Narleen Kristel began in 2009, when she offered to bake and design a cake for a good friend's wedding. The cake was hugely complimented both for design and flavor, that she proudly posted one picture onto her facebook page and shortly thereafter, orders came in one after the other... and the rest is history!

Narleen Kristel has NEVER taken a cake decorating class in her entire life, nor has she ever taken any culinary, baking or pastry classes. She simply has a love and passion for the culinary arts & design, she seeks to continually challenge herself, and most of all, she takes great pride in her work.

charlotte's baby shower...

baby shower nature theme...

momma bird is looking after her nest of baby blue and pink eggs...

mini-cake: vanilla bean and toasted almond
with almond buttercream

is it a girl?

or is it a boy? :)

baby pink cupcakes: vanilla bean with vanilla buttercream
and a toasted coconut nest
baby blue cupcakes: chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream
and a toasted coconut nest
all eggs were handmade with fondant

mommy-to-be charlotte wants to be surprised when baby is born, hence the baby blue and baby pink. i have to admit, i was very happy with how dainty and precious the momma bird turned out. i literally hand painted the fondant and mixed the colors to give it a feathered effect. all eggs, birdie and cherry blossom tree were completely handmade with fondant.

mini pecan tarts...

pecan petite tarts
with toasted pecans

so when i was younger, my aunt used to make these itty-bitty pecan tarts that i loved... and i tried making them one day. brought them into work for my co-workers to try, and one of my co-workers loved them so much she ordered two dozens :) i couldn't resist to package them with my logo and a pretty ribbon.
